Meerschaum bowl inserts are hand carved out of highest quality genuine block meerschaum that our experts had selected out of many meerschaum stones. All raw Meerschaum used to make CPW Calabash Pipes are the highest grade. Bowl sits in a tight cork and it is removable when needed.

INFORMATION ABOUT CALABASH
The Calabash pipe is named after the plant it is made from, the “Calabash Gourd.”
The Calabash Gourd is a large fruit that once harvested and matured can be dried, and used as a bottle, utensil, or pipe. A natural farm product that comes in various sizes and neck formations.
The plant is trimmed off flush to make the base for a Meerschaum.
The most common being the Meerschaum insert due to its porous properties, which allows the pipe to breathe and smoke cool.
The large chamber made by the bore of the plant allows the smoke to circulate and develop more than in any other pipe. This large chamber and dramatic curve also stores more fluid and stops any bitter impurities passing through the stem.
INFORMATION ABOUT MEERSCHAUM
Meerschaum is a very rare mineral, a kind of hard white clay. Light and porous structure of the pipe keeps the smoke cool and soft. The pipe itself is a natural filter which absorbs the nicotine.
Because of this peculiarity, meerschaum pipes slowly change their colors to different tones of gold and dark brown. This adds an esthetic enjoyment to its great smoking pleasure. The longer a pipe is smoked the more valuable it becomes due to the color change.
Pipes are made of high quality Eskisehir Meerschaum which is very well known by experts. Unlike briar, meerschaum does not burn.
Meerschaum pipes do not need pre-smoking to have a good quality performance. You can get perfect satisfaction with the very first smoking. Unlike a briar pipe, which must be dried after each smoke, the meerschaum can be smoked many times a day because of its absorbing qualities.
